“If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?”
(this is the quote T.Ware's CTO, affectionately known as Sep, probably lives by)
Whiz, smarty, geeky, cool? That's Sep!
For our interview with Sep, we're doing it 5W + 1H style (do you recall this from your earlier years of schooling?) See what he has to say.
Where have you travelled to with T.Ware?
Vancouver for Haptics Symposium 2012
Hannover for CeBIT 2013
Ningbo for factory visits 2012
Batam for factory vist
Johor Bahru for factory visit
Kulai Johor for factory visit
Munich for a demo
What are the 3 most important things in your workspace? Why and what do you use it for?
The 3 most impt thing an electrical engineer needs is a soldering iron, hot air station and an oscilloscope. The 4th thing is the programmer, which is specific to the chip being used. (Editor's note: i was under the impression the programmer is the person programming, but it's actually a little board. silly me.)
When do you feel the most creative?
When i'm starving. Because I need to get things done before I can stop for a break. I'm actually also most creative in the early morning, like from 4am to 6am.
Who has been the biggest influence in your techy life?
A consultant in a company I used to work in. And my supervisor during my internship with ITE as a hardware research engineer. I got the fundamentals of my skills from them, and these were the skills that brought me into the embedded systems field.
Why do you do what you do?
Ambition to have the masses use well designed products that have been designed by me for commercial use. I guess I believe that 'Technology saves alot of your time so that u can do something else that u like to do.'
How often do you attempt to clean up your workspace?
My workspace? Every week. Me: Do you succeed? Sep: In fact I clean it everyday, but the rate at which stuff comes in is faster at which I can rearrange stuff. So it's getting messier and messier and messier...
Can you share any of your prototype drawings to wrap this interview up?
(Very enthusiastically scuttles off to look for some..)
Got some really helpful and interesting advice from several articles:here, here and here. Autistic children have different needs from other kids, and since a bedroom is their own space, it’s important to take into consideration their needs to personalize it. Here are 9 tips we compiled from the 3 articles and we added a few of our own as well. Read on....
T.Jacket Travelogue: Tokyo, Japan
When: August 2013
Last August, T.Ware gave a talk about T.Jacket at Google's Tokyo office! Glad to be part of the movement to use technology in ways that help and touch people's lives. Like Google, we're definitely looking forward to doing more for people, so stay tuned! :)
